Samsung Now Live online shopping platform unveiled; Expensive Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Flip 3 Monitors to Fix

Samsung Now is a new live online shopping platform introduced to the Samsung India website for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 pre-book live event. The Korean tech giant shared the development on its website of newsroom notifying that customers interested in the new folding smartphones ​​will be able to pre-book in real time on 23 August. In addition, the screen repair costs for the two foldables will supposedly be very expensive and both phones received low repairability scores.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 were launched in India earlier this week and will go on sale from September 10th. Samsung now allows interested buyers to ​​pre-book the foldables ​​on Aug. 23 starting at 6pm via a live pre-launch book event called ‘Samsung Now.’ Those who pre-book phones during this event will receive early delivery and limited time exclusive offers, which include free Galaxy SmartTag, Galaxy Z Fold 3 Flip Case with Pen S, and Flip 3 Galaxy Z Flip 3 Case with Ring.

Offers during the live pre-booking event are in addition to the offers announced at launch. These pre-order offers for Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Flip 3 include an upgrade voucher of up to Rs. 7,000 or HDFC Bank refund of up to Rs. 7,000 when using credit and debit card. Buyers will be entitled to one year of free Samsung Care + Accidental Damage Protection when pre-booking the Galaxy Z Fold 3 (valued at Rs. 7,999) and or Galaxy Z Flip 3 (Rs. 4,799). Those who have previously booked one of the phones are also eligible for a free Galaxy SmartTag.

Samsung also shared the costs of repairing the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. A report by The Verge cites Samsung and claims that repairing the internal folding display will cost $479 (about Rs. 35,600) for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and $369 (about Rs. 27,400) for the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The external display will cost $149 (about Rs. 11,000) and $99 (about Rs. 7,400) respectively.

The two folding phones were also disassembled in reviews by PBK, a YouTube channel that disassembles and disassembles and gives them a repairability score. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 scored a repairability score of 2 out of 10, while the Galaxy Z Flip 3 scored a score of 4 out of 10.
