Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Spec Leak via Google Play Console List, India Release Expected Soon

The Google Play Console listing suggests that the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G may be released as the Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 in some markets.

Tipster TTechnical has leaked Google Play Console screenshots listing the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G. The Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 moniker is also mentioned in the list, suggesting that the phone might be called that in some markets. The list suggests that the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G can feature a full-HD+ screen with a resolution of 1080×2009 pixels and a pixel density of 459ppi. It runs on Android 11 and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and an ARM Mali G57 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader and the insider claims the phone could be released in India soon.

The screenshot attached to the Google Play Console listing suggests that the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G may have a waterdrop-style notch, also known as an Infinity-V display. The phone is seen with a pretty thick chin at the bottom. Its volume and power buttons are positioned in the right column. The tooth for the fingerprint reader is also visible.

A recent leak has suggested that the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G could be released later this month, expanding Samsung’s mid-range 5G smartphone range. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G was reportedly seen in a list from the previous Geekbench, which also suggested 6GB of RAM and a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It has also been located on the Bluetooth SIG and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification websites.
