iPhone 13 Series, Apple Watch Series 7, AirPods (3rd Generation) Key Specs, Leaked Features

Apple has scheduled its annual iPhone launch event on September 14th, where the new lineup of the iPhone 13 along with the Apple Watch Series 7 is due to launch. Prior to the launch event, insider Max Weinbach leaked important details of the iPhone 13 series, Apple Watch Series 7 and third-generation AirPods. The iPhone 13 lineup is unlikely to experience a price increase, refuting previous reports. The range is expected to increase in the overall weight and thickness of the device, and this change will be especially noticeable on the Pro Max model of the iPhone 13.

Weinbach tweeted a bunch of details about the iPhone 13 series, Apple Watch Series 7 and the 3rd generation AirPods through your alternative Pine account (@PineLeaks). The iPhone 13 Pro Max is considered Apple’s true flagship, differing from the standard Pro model. The overall increase in weight and thickness will be especially noticeable on the more premium model. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is expected to have an 18 to 20 percent larger battery compared to last year’s model, according to Weinbach. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro are expected to use the same battery component, with a capacity increase likely of around 10 percent. Weinbach says the Pro variants may perform slightly worse due to the presence of 120Hz refresh rate. Pro models are reported to accelerate at 60Hz refresh rate when in low power mode. Weinbach says this cannot be customized.

The entire range of the iPhone 13 can integrate larger camera sensors, with Weinbach saying it can receive at least 15 percent more light, while the ultra-wide sensor can see the biggest change, receiving up to 40 percent more light. The leak says the iPhone 13 may come with a cinematic portrait video feature that employs an electronic image stabilization (EIS) system known as a “Warp.” This will allow users to blur the background while recording video. The OIS camera system is said to change to a less aggressive and “smooth” mode of operation. The night mode feature is expected to be updated to recognize when stars are in the scene and adjust internally accordingly. This is done through a new algorithm that analyzes structures, reshapes and adjusts shadows in night shots.

Coming to the case of charging third-generation AirPods, it’s likely to have a 20 percent larger battery compared to the second-generation. The batteries can probably be the same size as the AirPods Pro. It can support wireless charging and the overall sound output should be about the same as that offered on the second generation AirPods. However, it can offer visibly better bass and bass, according to Weinbach.

Even the Apple Watch Series 7 will likely see an improvement in battery life over the original Apple Watch. This is due to the larger screen size that comes to the next generation smartwatch, creating more real estate space.
