Google Pixel Buds A-series specs and features

Pixel Buds TWS A-Series headphones feature custom-designed 12mm dynamic drivers that Google says deliver full, clear, natural sound, along with Bass Boost. The headphones are rated IPX4 for sweat and water resistance. They also come with passive noise reduction. Pixel Buds A-Series headphones use beamforming microphones that allow users to focus on their calls while muffling outside noise. Microphones can also be used to invoke the Google Assistant using the “Ok Google!” voice command.

Cost-cutting measures are visible in Google Pixel Buds A-Series. TWS headphones do not have wireless charging capability. Swipe gesture controls to adjust volume are not supported. The headphones also lack attention alerts, which would lower the volume to allow users to hear urgent sounds like a baby crying or sirens.

TWS headphones come with Adaptive Sound that increases or decreases the volume according to the environment. Pixel Buds A-Series also get real-time translation for over 40 languages (including Bengali, Hindi and Tamil). The feature – along with other features like Fast Pair, Find my Device, Adaptive Sound, and more – works while users are using Pixel smartphones or devices running Android 6.0 or higher. The headphones can be connected like standard TWS headphones to any regular smartphone via Bluetooth.

Google Pixel Buds A-Series can provide up to five hours of playback on a single charge or up to 24 hours using the charging case. A 15-minute charge can provide up to three hours of playback. While each Pixel Buds A-Series headset measures 20.57×29.21×17.53mm and weighs 5.10 grams, the carrying case measures 62.99×46.99×24.89mm.
