Shang-ChiThe final trailer for now is available in Hindi and coming soon in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada – just three days after the local language versions of Shang-Chi teaser trailer. I wondered if we could get one after the other, and that’s exactly what happened. If you’re wondering why the difference is so small, it’s because Disney India’s marketing cycle for the new Marvel movie – the full title is Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings – didn’t start in earnest until a release date in India has been fixed. And as this happened just a week ago, most promotions in India for Shang-Chi were essentially squeezed into a two-week window, with the film led by Simu Liu which will be released Friday, September 3 in theaters across India.
Of course, the Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada versions of Shang-ChiThe final trailer of are identical to the original English version from June. It was then called the “official trailer”, but here it is being called the “final trailer”. It begins with Shang-Chi’s father Wenwu (Tony Leung) explaining how the Ten Rings always gave his family power, before mystical city guardian Jiang Nan (Michelle Yeoh) reminds Shang-Chi that he is so similar with his father as he is a product of his mother. But father and son never got along – the Shang-Chi trailer is all about these daddy issues – which will only end one way in a Marvel movie: a duel.
