Realme 8s 5G, Realme 8i and Realme Pad are due to launch in India on September 9, the company announced last week. Over the weekend, Realme announced the launch of two portable Bluetooth speakers – Cobble and Pocket, previously released in Malaysia, along with the two smartphones. Now, the company has confirmed the color options that will be available for the Realme 8s 5G, in addition to providing that it will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC and up to 8GB of RAM. He also detailed some more features of Realme 8i. Also prior to release, a new leak for both Realme smartphones has surfaced online suggesting some more important specs for the two smartphones. Realme smartphones are expected to ship in two RAM+ storage configurations.
As announced in a tweet via Realme Techlife account, the Realme Cobble and Realme Pocket Bluetooth portable speakers will be launched alongside the Realme 8s 5G, Realme 8i and Realme Pad at the September 9 launch event that was unveiled last week. The two speakers were introduced for the first time in May.
Realme has also confirmed the color choices of the upcoming Realme 8s 5G via a microsite. Shows the smartphone in the Blue Universe and Purple Universe color options. As mentioned, it also detailed the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G SoC with up to 8GB of RAM, plus a new ‘Dynamic RAM Expansion’ feature, which appears to use storage to increase RAM, providing up to 11GB in the case of the 6GB RAM model and a total of 13GB in the case of the 8GB RAM model. The Realme 8s 5G will weigh 191 grams and will have 8.8 mm in its thinnest form, the company also proved. Meanwhile, informant Debayan Roy (@gadgetsdata) shared some important specs for Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i.
According to the insider, the Realme 8s 5G will offer up to 128GB of onboard storage. The triple rear camera configuration is expected to come with a 64 megapixel primary sensor and two 2 megapixel sensors. The sheet shows that it has a 16 megapixel selfie camera in the so-called Ultra Smooth screen cutout with a 90 Hz refresh rate. In addition, it can also have a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Its 5,000 mAh battery can support 33W Dart Charge fast charging.
As for Realme 8i, its own microsite confirms the MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, which was released separately through a Twitter exchange between Realme and MediaTek. The microsite also reveals the 120 Hz screen refresh rate (with 6 presets) on a 6.6 inch screen, while promoting a 180 Hz touch sampling rate and 1 nit night mode.
The insider adds that the Realme 8i can feature up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of built-in storage. It can also get dynamic RAM expansion up to 10GB. The Realme 8i is said to have a 16 megapixel selfie sensor in its hole. Its triple rear camera has a 50 megapixel sensor and two 2 megapixel sensors. Realme can include a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The smartphone can be offered in Space Black and Space color options.
Realme Cobble Bluetooth Speaker Price and Specifications
According to the official website’s microsite, the Realme Cobble Bluetooth speaker will come with a light cord. It comes with a 5W Dynamic Bass Boost driver that supposedly delivers deeper, richer bass. The Bluetooth speaker has a 1500mAh battery, which can be charged through a USB Type-C port, can give a total playing time of up to 9 hours. The speaker is also IPX5 certified for dust and water resistance.
There is also a super low 88ms latency with its game mode. User can manage Realme Cobble Bluetooth speaker with Realme Link app. It will be available in Electric Blue and Metal Black color options. The first one also receives a light cord. Users can pair two devices for stereo sound and it comes with three equalizer presets. The detailed features correspond to those of the Malaysian model launched in May, where it cost MYR 99 (about Rs. 1800). We can expect similar prices when arriving in India.
Realme Pocket Bluetooth Speaker Price, Specifications
The same microsite also mentions some important specs of the Realme Pocket Bluetooth speaker. It provides a total playing time of up to 6 hours and can be charged via a USB Type-C port. Features a 3W dynamic bass boost driver. The Realme Pocket Bluetooth speaker is also IPX5 certified. It also comes with v5 Bluetooth connectivity and weighs 113 grams. As with Realme Cobble, Realme Pocket users can also pair two devices for stereo sound and it comes with three equalizer presets. Realme will offer the portable speaker in Classic Black and Desert White color options. The Realme Pocket features described on the India microsite match those of the speaker unveiled in Malaysia in May – separately from Realme Cobble. It was costing MYR 97 (about Rs. 1,400), and we can expect the price from India to be about the same.
