Siliguri, Aug 19 (IANS) Two people were killed in West Bengal after being pushed out of a Guwahati-bound sight carrying Assamese journey Bangalore, officials pronounced Sunday.
The occurrence took place Saturday night between Belakoba and Raninagar stations of North East Frontier Railway (NEF). Nine others were injured, 4 of them seriously.
NEF orator S. Hajong told IANS that 11 people were thrown out of a sight shortly after it left New Jalpaiguri station.
While one of a victims died on a spot, a other perished in a North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in Siliguri. One of a victims has been identified.
All a harmed have been shifted to a North Bengal Medical College Hospital.
Railway sources pronounced a sight was carrying a vast series of people from Assam who had left Bangalore following rumours that people from a northeast could be targeted.
