New Delhi, Aug 18 (IANS) A Delhi justice Saturday sent former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda, indicted of aiding a self-murder of former moody attendant Geetika Sharma, to 7 days police custody for his questioning.
Metropolitan Magistrate Devender Kumar Jangala sent Kanda to military control for questioning, recuperating papers and mechanism tough drives blank from his bureau and collection of sum of email addresses and phone call records.
The investigators had sought his remand for 14 days though a justice authorised usually a week’s military remand questioning.
Police pronounced they wanted to confront Kanda with papers recovered compartment now.
Public Prosecutor Rajiv Mohan, while seeking 14 days remand of Kanda, pronounced that he was a usually source by whom a case-related papers and justification could be collected.
Senior disciple Ramesh Gupta, appearing for Kanda, against a military defence observant that extenuation military control of his customer would not offer any purpose.
He pronounced that investigators had already searched his residence and bureau so there was no need for his military custody.
Gupta also combined that Kanda “is not an absconder as termed by police” and his customer surrendered himself in a military hire here early morning.
Kanda was arrested after he surrendered.
Kanda was on a run given Aug 8 after Sharma, 23, indicted him and another central of his now-defunct MDLR Airlines, Aruna Chaddha, of badgering her and forcing her to dedicate suicide. She died on a night of Aug 4-5 during her residence in north Delhi’s Ashok Vihar. Chaddha is in legal custody.
