Members of rival gangs have been sentenced after violent disorder, and looting of shops, pubs, restaurants and a casino a year ago in west London.

A total of 16 people received sentences of up to nine years imprisonment at Inner London Crown Court.

Judge Usha Karu said the group acted like “a pack of hounds” during an attack on a Supersave store.

Up to five rival gangs set their differences aside for one night and agreed to meet up to carry out a campaign of violent disorder, assault and robbery.

The judge said: “It was a year ago today you were involved in the mob criminality that so disturbed the law abiding public.

“Today in stark contrast to those scenes of arson, looting and damage, London is hosting the Olympic Games which demonstrate the excellence that can be achieved in sport as an inspiration to all.

“However, those involved in 2011 were involved in the opposite.”

The following sentences were handed out by the Judge:

• Kalen Hinds, 19, of Blenheim Crescent, Holland Park, was sentenced to nine years imprisonment after being convicted of conspiracy to burgle and commit violent disorder, robbery and wounding of a shopkeeper
• Rico Myers, 17, of Union Terrace, Rayners Lane, north-west London, was sentenced to four years after pleading guilty to conspiracy to burgle and commit violent disorder, robbery of a shopkeeper and a taxi driver
• Gyasi Skinner, 20, of Oxford Gardens, North Kensington, was sentenced to nine years and two months after pleading guilty to conspiracy to burgle and commit violent disorder
• Travis Williams-Carter, 21, Bevington Road, North Kensington, was sentenced to 16 months after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit violent disorder
• Karl Jensen, 24, of Katherine Square, Holland Park, was sentenced to three years after pleading guilty to conspiracy to burgle and commit violent disorder
• Karim Lamgunidaz, 16, of Wornington Road, North Kensington, was sentenced to a three-year non custodial youth rehabilitation order after pleading guilty to conspiracy to burgle and commit violent disorder
• Liam Hodge, 22, of Westbourne Park Road, Notting Hill, was sentenced to four years and four months after pleading guilty to conspiracy to handle stolen goods
• Jazz Dedier, 18, of Westbourne Park Road, Notting Hill, was sentenced to 18 months after being convicted of conspiracy to commit violent disorder
• Tyler Brewer, 19, of Westbourne Park Road, Notting Hill, was sentenced to four years and one month after pleading guilty during trial to conspiracy to handle stolen goods
• Dean Burke, 19, of Cuthbert House, Paddington, was sentence to two years nine months for conspiracy to burgle and commit violent disorder
• Nasir Muhsen, 18, from West Cromwell Road, Earl’s Court, was sentenced to six years and six months after pleading guilty to robbery of a shopkeeper and being convicted of conspiracy to commit violent disorder
• Ahmed Al-Jaf, 19, of Moyle House, Churchill Gardens, Westminster, was sentenced to nine years after pleading guilty to conspiracy to burgle and conspiracy to commit violent disorder, robbery of a shopkeeper and robbery of customers and staff at the Ledbury restaurant in Notting Hill
• Aiman Ibrahim, 17, of Falkirk House, Maida Vale, was sentenced to two years and nine months after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit violent disorder
• Ali Abdul Waga, 20, of Mary Adelaide House, Paddington, was sentenced to seven years after being convicted of conspiracy to burgle, conspiracy to commit violent disorder and robbery of a taxi driver
• Anas Ibrahim, 20, Malden Road, Kentish Town, was sentenced to two years after pleading guilty to conspiracy to burgle, conspiracy to commit violent disorder and robbery of customers and staff at the Ledbury restaurant
• A male, who was not identified, was sentenced to three years after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit violent disorder and robbery of customers and staff at the Ledbury restaurant.
