What kind of Syria are the Syrian rebels fighting for, a religious or a secular state, democratic or autocratic, realistic or unrealistic?
These questions have been asked off and on during their long battle with President Assad but now that they seem to have destroyed much of the infrastructure of his rule, thoughts about what next seem somehow more pressing.
