17 Pakistani Journalists In Mumbai To Boost Ties With India
MUMBAI, May 21 (Bernama) — To boost ties between India and Pakistan, a delegation of 17 Pakistani journalists will be arriving here Monday on a week-long visit to the city, Press Trust of India reported.
The group is made up of leading newspapers and TV channels like ‘Dawn’, ‘The News’, ‘Jang Geo TV’, ‘ARY News’ and ‘Express Tv’.
The purpose of the visit is to promote understanding and tolerance between the two countries by increasing and improving the quality of media content when reporting on each other’s country and bilateral issues.
“This is expected to give a boost to the peace process between India and Pakistan,” Mumbai Press Club President Gurbir Singh said.
The delegation is scheduled to meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and state Home Minister R R Patil.
