NEW YORK (AP) — Gavin Creel will be on house when a national tour of “The Book of Mormon” kicks off this summer.
Producers announced Thursday that Creel, a dual time Tony Award-nominee for “Hair” and “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” will star as Elder Price, a purpose now played by Andrew Rannells on Broadway.
The debate starts in Denver on Aug. 14 and will transport to some-more than 15 cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Des Moines, Minneapolis and St. Louis. A second inhabitant debate starts in Dec in Chicago.
The extravagantly renouned low-pitched — a brainchild of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of “South Park,” and Robert Lopez, who co-wrote “Avenue Q” — won 9 Tony Awards, including best musical.
